Today I have mainly been:
Eating crunchy nut cornflakes;
Creating a new cardboard tube run for my degus;
Inadvertently ordering a 14 inch sausage baguette. Seriously though, would you expect a 'sausage and swiss baguette' to be 14 inches? I seriously struggled to eat it;
Mounting, polishing and hanging photographs for an upcoming exhibition Paul and some friends are doing. This took six hours;
Meeting some friends and eating dinner in the same pub I had lunch in, drinking too much pear cider on an emptyish stomach and getting a lift home stretching one seat belt over me and my friend Simon;
Getting home and removing Fred the HUGE spider from the bathroom;
Watering the vegetables in the garden;
Remembering how nice it is to give in to being a bit drunk, seeing as I haven't had a drink in a week since I've been ill;
Spilling rice on the sofa;
Watching Ponyo with Paul and Claire. Best quotes: "Holy fuck, it's got a fucking face! Kill it!" and "Why is no one in this film asking any questions, like 'why has that fish got a fucking face?'"
Staring at my dirty feet and wondering if everyone else gets filthy feet after wearing flip flops all day walking around a city;
Contemplating whether I should wear my new bright pink plastic sandals with mini plastic fruit charms on them to the hospital tomorrow when I go to do my research.
Tomorrow will hopefully begin with more crunchy nut cornflakes.
