It's been two of the local weeks, and I'm still not certain we aren't stuck in the realm of a particularly capricious god. Vanishing and switched possessions, strange outfits we can't be rid of? It's not the province of a mortal mind ( Read more... )

Very well. I guess I meant more what you thought one was like.

Two? I'd heard of one, the one that used to belong to the vanished officer--Mustang?

Big and fast and good to race.

Yes! Lezard has one too! I have raced it. I lost but it was challenging!

All true, I should think, even if I'd have to question your wisdom for daring such a challenge. You don't lack courage, that's for certain.

And Lezard is?

Challenges are challenges! They are worth it!

He is the head of Medical.

I rather like how you think.

A healer with a dragon? Now that's fitting.

Thank you! I like how I think too. That is why I think like that.

It is? I had not heard of it before. It seems a strange pair. But they work!

Isn't that a bit of circular logic, my friend?

Unlikely, maybe, but not strange to me. Then again, maybe I'm thinking of something quite different from your idea.

What is circular logic?

What are you thinking?

You think in a way that pleases you because it pleases you. The reasoning runs in a loop.

I don't rightly know. They're just impressions, and I'm learning to be leery of them.

But I like how I think. I shouldn't like it? And there is no problem with running loops. It is a good way to exercise!

I have learned that sometimes it is good to pay attention to impressions. You will be wrong sometimes, but it is made up for when you are right.

As you please.

It is, though there's so much new ground to cover I'm rarely patient enough to run in circles here yet.

That's solid advice, too. Maybe there's a balance.

Do you like how you think?

Captain Planet is the best place to run laps. You will often see new things! Though some of the new things might attack.

There is always a balance! It is just a matter of finding it!

Most of the time, but a margin of error seems prudent.

Yeah, I've noticed that. I've been considering a bow. Some of those things on [pause] Crystala are best not let too close.

You want to be wrong sometimes?

Bows? Projectiles are useful but if something gets close they will not do as much. And I do not often go to Crystala.

I want to be open to the possibility that I need to adapt my thinking to the situation.

I won't be going to Crystala again until I'm better armed. Let's leave it at that. A good shot with a bow can also eliminate the need for a further fight, but I wouldn't rely on a bow alone.
