02 → you who have come from my old country

It's been two of the local weeks, and I'm still not certain we aren't stuck in the realm of a particularly capricious god. Vanishing and switched possessions, strange outfits we can't be rid of? It's not the province of a mortal mind.

Be that as it may, there's good hunting to be done on the islands. Is there a law on that? I see the Watch heeds the people, but what about the beasts?

If I could have a word with the captain of the Guard, I'd be much obliged.

If that goes well, I'll need a weapon. Cara, what's your policy on extending credit? I'm far from certain I can afford a good spear on what I have.

Then one more thing. What does this say--mean--to you? [The character appears with a brush, unlike the rest of the entry, with easy and practiced strokes.]

[That's the traditional Chinese character, lóng. The language geas will likely translate it as "dragon", but Chinese speakers can possibly access the more complex cultural meaning. It corresponds to the old (pre-1947) kanji for "dragon", if a Japanese speaker is well-read or old enough to know it.]

-cloud, serious face on, -gai (youth), -rogue, -paladin, -moon, needs more pointy sticks, adjusting, weirdest afterlife ever, riddle me this, dreaming of dragons, -krile (cara), -handmaiden
