Summary: Ryo and Tatsuya have to care for a baby for 3 months, but during those three months a lot will happen. [fail…fail…fail… It sounds boring here >____<]
Disclaimer: I only own Umiko. The idea of the babies is from 90210 [I only watched it once, because I was bored xD]

It was 4 o’clock in the morning and Ueda was lying in bed, on his back, with his eyes wide open, staring at the ceiling.
His arm hurt insanely bad and he had already taken 3 painkillers.
When he came back home after boxing, his mother had found out that he went to the gym and she was furious. ”You nearly broke your arm! Are you crazy? What if something happened and you really broke it!?” She went on and on about how lucky he was and that he should be careful and that he should wait until his arm was healed again.
And now that he is having this awful pain, he had better listened to her.
Ueda looked at his clock and saw the red digits.

Ueda thought back at the words from Kame. Somewhere he wanted Ryo’s attention. He wanted to see him now. He had butterflies in his stomach and his heart was racing in his chest.
But even though he was kissed by Ryo for so long, he still was shy and he wanted to run and hide so he could freely fantasize about him.
Could he really? Was he really? Was he in love with Ryo!?
“Tat-chan!” Kame ran to Ueda the next morning. He was carrying the baby from him and the girl who he was paired up with.
“Ohayo” Ueda said and yawned.
He had seen the light of the sun coming through his window and when finally his eyes became heavy, his mother came in the room and opened the curtains with the message that breakfast was ready and that it was time for school.
Luckily the pain in his arm had faded through the night and he was able to appear downstairs pretty fast.
“Feeling any better?” he smiled and pointed at his arm.
”I couldn’t sleep last night, my arm was killing me and the painkillers weren’t working” Ueda yawned again.
“How did it actually happen? Almost breaking it I mean”
“Eh… well…t-that’s” Ueda’s face became bright red and he began to stutter. “I-I uh.. fell”
“I have a feeling there is more behind it” Kame laughed when they reached the school gate and he knew he had to wait for the real answer.
Ueda looked everywhere to see if he found Ryo, but he didn’t saw him anywhere.
“Do you want to wait outside for a minute or shall we go to the classroom?”
“Let’s go inside”

“Ryo get up!” his mother opened the curtains and yanked his pillow from under his head.
Ryo was sure he never would get any kids. The baby had cried almost every hour and he couldn’t find the damn keys to make the baby eat, drink or sleep.
The night before, his mother had complained that he should clean his room and this was the first time it actually seemed a good idea.
“I don’t want to… I’m tired” he murmured annoyed and turned around.
“Maybe you should go to your bed sooner. I went to bed at 9 o’clock when you were a little baby” his mother pulled his blanket away and the fresh air on his skin made him open his eyes and sat right up in bed.
“Ohayo dear” she kissed her son’s forehead and walked downstairs to finish breakfast.
Ryo looked at the baby. It was smiling happily on his bedside drawer like a sweet, normal baby. But Ryo was sure that Johnny-sensei had made up this project only to annoy them.
Why else would this be useful?
Because of this baby Ueda had a sour arm and he was afraid of him. Right now, he couldn't think of anything worse.
"Ryo breakfast!" his mother yelled from the stairs.
"Coming!"
"Ohayo" Nishikido-san said from behind the news-paper when Ryo sat down at the table.
"Ohayo" Ryo said and put the baby next to him on the table. "can't you do something about this project dad? I can barely sleep at night" he was trying to find the right excuse so his dad would maybe forbid the project.
"It's your own fault. Now you learn that a baby is a big responsibility" Ryo's dad was the director of the school and he was a strict man. Ryo's efforts were futile, so he thanked for his food and started eating.
"Ryo! We’re late!" his father's angry voice sounded through the hallway.
After breakfast Ryo went to his room to get his bag, but his was impatient as always and tapped with his shoe on the wooden floor when Ryo came running down the stars.
"Sorry" he said and put his shoes on.
The minute his dad parked the car in front of the school, Ryo got out and walked with Umiko in his hands to the classroom.
Yamapi and Jin were already in their seats, just like all the other students, including Ueda.
He was talking to Kame and he looked like he was feeling better.
But as soon as he noticed Ryo standing in the doorpost, he started acting nervous.

Was he really in love with Ryo? And how would his parents react?
He knew about Kame. His parents were completely fine with their son’s decision.
It was his happiness.
Ryo looked shortly at him and sat down at his desk.
Ueda looked from Ryo’s back to the baby and back. She was still wearing the same outfit, not that it mattered much, she was only plastic.
Her mouth was curved in a smile, her cheeks were painted pink and she had real eyelashes and hair.
Ueda wasn’t 100% sure about his feelings yet and he thought it was best for him to keep his distance from Ryo for a while.
Every time Ryo walked up to him or even came near him, he excused himself and ran to the toilet or sometimes the nurse’s office.
Kame noticed the strange behaviour from Ueda, but he didn’t say a word about it.
Until the next Wednesday Ueda avoided Ryo. He was at school until 1 pm and before lunch he and Kame walked to the school gate to his mother’s car.
He would go to the hospital to see what would happen with his arm.
“Are you coming back to school after the hospital?”
“I don’t know how long it will take, but I just think I’ll go home afterwards. We don’t have any tests and it’s a good excuse for not having to take the baby” Ueda laughed and sat next to his mother.
“I guess I’ll see you tomorrow then”
“Bye” Ueda’s mother drove away and Ueda waved shortly through the open window.

“And?” the doctor started. “How went everything with your arm? Was everything all right?”
“Yes everything went all right” Ueda’s mother said when they were at the hospital.
Ueda sat down on the bed and the doctor began to roll the bandage of his arm.
“But sometimes he complained about the pain and that his painkillers weren’t working”
“Are you sure it was your elbow?”
“Yes and it went all the way up to here” Ueda said and moved his hand from his elbow to his shoulder and to the left front his chest.
“But that has nothing to do with your elbow. It’s your heart, you’re in love boy” the doctor joked and started laughing. His mother laughed with the doctor, but he wasn’t sure if she thought it was funny or that she was just being polite.
Ueda’s cheeks were slightly red and it matched well with his purple elbow.
The bruise was still dark, but the swelling was gone.
“Good, I’ll give you a new bandage and then we’re done” the doctor finally said and walked to one of the cabinets against the wall.
He got a new roll of bandage, a scissor and some tape and within 5 minutes Ueda had a new bandage and was ready to leave.
“For the pain in your elbow you can take the painkillers, but for the pain in your heart, there is no medicine” the doctor said and patted Ueda softly on his good shoulder.
All his blood flowed back to his head again and Ueda softly nodded.
“Thank you doctor” Ueda’s mother said and bowed again.

“Moshi moshi” Ueda answered his phone. He just got back into his room after the visit to the hospital.
“Tat-chan” sounded from the other side of the line.
“Kame, why are you calling? Aren’t you still at school?” Ueda watched at his clock on the wall. It was 2 o’clock.
“Johnny-sensei let us go sooner because everyone fell asleep on their desks” he laughed. “And well… I-uh was wondering if you were going to the gym… today”
“Why are you asking?” Ueda knew the answer already, but he wanted to hear it from Kame himself.
“I just want to help you with your training”
“Oh you’re such a liar Kamenashi” Ueda laughed and sat down at his bed. “You just want to see Koki again, am I right?”
It was silent for a few minutes when Kame spoke.
“Okay, you’re right. I admit it, happy?” Kame laughed.
“Do you like him?” Ueda asked as if it wasn’t obvious already.
“I guess, but are you going?”
“No, sorry, the doctor said that I still couldn’t box and my mother became furious the last time I came home”
“Ah, that’s too bad, well than I’ll see you tomorrow”
“Okay, bye”
