jaykayjaykay if i asked for help with japanese i'd probably be making you translate entire doujinshis. D: minor question again: what does "da" mean when it's at the end of a sentence. is it just... like... stressing the word? like when rena yells USO DA

kinda? it's an manly exclamation that both girls and guys use to emphasis the previous word.

"da yo" is something you tack onto your sentence to make it really, really casual. like, "nandayo" (what the hell) as oppose to "nani" (what).

okiedoke. and 'desu yo' is like... a pushier version of whatever sentence you just said, right? i've forgotten whether desu yo is pushier or whether deshou is.
i don't know why i keep asking about tiny little details when i still can't string sentences together either, mrgh.

yeah, somewhat. "desu yo" implies a silent "am i right". and you need to pick up japanese or else i'm defriending you forever.

WHAT eurgghhhh you should teach me. i'm learning bits and pieces from anime but it's all like really random words, like 'future' and 'fate' and 'festival' and WOW why did higurashi teach me so many f-words.
