Phewww.
I only just got back home and I want to go back out again. I finished reading The Golem's Eye and now I wanna hunt down the last of the Bartimaeus trilogy. That book started out a little slow, and had a totally different tone to The Amulet of Samarkand (it's way darker and Bartimaeus isn't quite as witty/funny), but it really pulls you in.
Also I went out to chillax with tomatoshoes today. T'was gooooooood. We mostly walked around Sha Tin New Town Plaza, saying silly things and mentally vomiting at the choice of Christmas decorations. I like silver, and I like purple, and I like fluffy things, but the thing in the middle of STNTP is monstrous. Both Festival Walk and New Town Plaza seem to be doing the whole "unnatural tree colors" theme this year-- Festi's tree is blue. I was a bit surprised that it isn't sponsored by Swarovski this year, though it's definitely nice to be able to walk from one end of the mall to the other without being blinded by flashing glitter. Bee tee dubs, Mommamato, I just Googled, and that thing under the escalator is indeed called a sand garden. A Zen sand garden. You just rake sand. There's a Powerpuff Girls episode where Buttercup has to go to a temple to learn to chillax; m'sure you'll see if if you still lurk around on Cartoon Network.
Also I'm pimping out babb_chronicles, simply because there are too many awesome(ly terrible) Potterfics out there that are not getting enough attention.
