Another kitten update
So Morgana has made it to the kitchen worktop!.she's been eyeing for a while from the table but hasn't tried the leap. There was an attempt the other day when she was foiled by the dishdrainer, given away by a teaspoon on the floor. But today there was a chair too near the worktop so up she went. She was dumped down and the chair moved, but a couple of minutes later she was up straight from the floor so the wee besom has cracked that one. That's the end of us leaving anything out! Because no matter what we do she'll be up there as soon as out back's are turned.
She's also getting chattier. We got the odd squeak, chirrup and squawk before but now she's walking about squeaking when she wants to play, when she wants food, when her tray isn't quite tidy enough for her. I tend to say 'hello' to her in the same way when she comes in the room, a few times lately she's walked in and given an 'eeoo' in the same tone. I'm sure she's picked it up LOL!
I am seeing the arguments about keeping them with their mum's a few weeks longer. She was 8 weeks but there are some things she's not very good at that mum would've shown her. She tries to wash herself but it's a bit erratic. The same spots get it all the time and other bits get missed. I had to wash her ears the other day for instance The hair burrowing and kneading I've read can be an early weaning thing. But she's a confident wee cat so she's fine.
Getting a bit more pernickety with food though. I was trying to get her off the Whiskas etc and on to the higher meat ones. I put dry food out when she's getting left a while but I don't want her sticking to that, much as she'd like to. But she's fussy with the wet. Any fishy flavoured felix goes down well but some of the higher meat ones just get ignored. Trashy wee madam then scoffed half a tin of cheapy kitekat in a sitting! But looks like she's started losing her baby teeth so that'll be making her funny with eating too.
Oh I did try to get a pic of her paws up on the TV watching Andy Murray the other day but she moved. :D
