After A Long Break...
I know...I'm bad...I haven't updated this thing in ages. The thing is that life here is going very well and that I am very happy! I have completed most of my finals and I'm happy to say that I've done well so far. I still don't know about my Middle High German test, but I'm not too worried about it now that I know I can make it with the classes I have. I just have one art history test on Wednesday and that may be a little tricky, but I'm meeting with my friend Luke tomorrow to study and compare notes.
Other than that, Barbara left this morning to go to Denmark for vacation. From there, she's go to Dortmund and then to Turkey to see her man, Devrim. She'll be gone 6 weeks and I'm really going to miss her as we've become really close. We had a big party for her last night and then hung out in the StuSie for a couple hours, so hopefully she left on a good note - I know I had fun! Luckily, I won't be too alone for long cause my family will be coming soon and I can spend time with them traveling all over! YIPPEE!!!
In other news, Wednesday and Thursday were kinda rough days for me because on Wednesday, a good friend of mine, Rebecca Sullivan, was found dead in her room. It was so bizarre to hear that - just utterly unfathomable. I mean she was so young and had a really bright future ahead of her, and suddenly, that's gone. It makes me want to keep in much better touch with everyone because you never know what will happen. It may be morbid, but it's the truth. I also feel odd because I'm here in Germany and cannot be with everyone else who is mourning - it makes me feel a little disconnected. Although I'm not as down as I was on Wednesday or Thursday, I still think about it often and it just gives me such a weird feeling.
Right now, I'm labeling all of my photos and trying to put everything online. I've fallen so far behind...for shame! I think I will finish that and then maybe watch ''A Beautiful Mind'' tonight in German. Till later!!!
