Did I like it?

Um not really.

Reason numero uno. There was way too much Cavil. And why was he macking on an eight and a six? Come on, that doesn't get any less gross. Ever. No matter how many times I see it.

And to be perfectly honest, I felt like I was watching an hour and fifty minutes worth of deleted/extended scenes. (Which unless there is some great exception, I almost always feel were cut for a reason.) It was nice to see Sammy T. (and a little bit of Leoben) again and all, but for the most part I was bummed. First, wasn't this filmed over a year ago? Why so long, network-formerly-known-as-Sci-Fi? All the re-used footage made me kinda sad. They didn't appear to be lengthened or even edited differently for the most part. I'm not trying to be a downer, but I wasn't a huge fan of Razor either and this is kind of on par with that. Too much "why do I care?" and not enough "I'm so glad I took the time to watch this." (Hardly any of that actually.) There wasn't anything new or that interesting. And certainly nothing insightful. Nothing that made me understand/love the show any more than I already do.

It kinda seemed like one big love affair to Cavil, the way it ended with his death(s) and how he got his greatest wish (sorta). Ew. And what happened to compassionate Cavil. Maybe if that guy had existed (with that interpretation) within the context of the show, I might have cared a little bit about the fracturing of the Cavil line.

Also, elephants?

So... BSG-fail. I can't pretend to feel differently.
