I'm scared about my future, and the future of this world. I'm scared about global warming, animal extinction, college, high school, future romantic life, my family, politics, wars, and the end of the world

I know I don't know you as well as I'd like, but I'll offer up what words of wisdom I can. I'm not going to tell you it'll all be ok, because I can't guarantee that, and I know making promises you aren't sure you can keep is one of the worst ways to comfort someone. But I will say that I don't think you need to worry as much. Teenagers are supposed to get worked up about these sorts of things. It's good to see that you're getting opinions and passions and things to rant about. This stuff needs to happen in Highschool so that by the time we get into college and can actually do something, we're all ready to go out and be activists and protest and raise money and write letters and do whatever we can to make a difference.
As for answering some of your questions, I really don't know what you're capable of, since I don't know you all that well. But I'll bet you're capable of a lot more than a lot of people think you are. You are so full of energy, and put in the right direction, that can do a lot. I often wonder why wars can't be run by chess or something similar, myself. I mean, it's the same sort of idea, only people aren't dieing. As for global warming, I don't know if it's really reversable, but it's certainly able to be lessened. The problem with the rest of the world, though, is that people have this ignorant idea that ignoring a problem will make it go away. Perhaps individuals know something is coming, but humanity as a whole is always stupider than the individual. But that's what our generation is here for, to try and wake people up. We know what's coming, and we are almost at the age where people will listen to us. So now it's our turn to do something. Let's not let ourselves down.
Older generations (especially our grandparents, etc.) tend to get stuck in these old ideas and not recognize or pay attention to the new ideas and concerns that are emerging. That's why it's our responsibility as the kids who have been raised under these modern problems to try and change it. Don't stress too much about not being able to do anything yet. You'll get your chance. If you really feel a need to speak up right this very second, I reccomend joining JSA. It'd be good to get some fresh faces in there, anyway. Bring your friends, too.
Yeah, my long and rambly 2 cents. Not sure if any of it will be useful, but maybe some of it will.
