I'm scared about my future, and the future of this world. I'm scared about global warming, animal extinction, college, high school, future romantic life, my family, politics, wars, and the end of the world.
I'm terrified and I have no idea what to do.
Every person I talk to either refers me to someone else, or tries to comfort me by saying it's okay.
It's all going to be okay, everything will solve itself and you should just calm down. You're only 15 years old for goodness sake; you shouldn't worry yourself about things like this. Let the adults/your teachers/your parents/the government/everyone else handle it.
Go back to your own bubble and stop bothering us.
I really want an honest answer about all of my expectations. What do people really, honestly, truly think I'm capable of?
Is global warming really reversible, and why isn't there anything more being done about it? Why aren't these wars solved any other means besides fighting? Since everyone keeps shouting how we could all solve this by talking. How am I supposed to help in order to keep my future, and future generations safe from war-torn, ill-protected, unsafe, unhealthy environments?
And what if I don't trust my teachers, the adults, my parents, the government and the rest of the world to resolve all of these issues? What if I don't think that they really care, or that they don't have everyone else's best interests at heart? What if I don't think that they're completely capable? Or is that just my teenage pride thinking that I know everything and really know nothing?
I'm just in a mad panic and no one's got anything to offer that'll quiet these thoughts right now.
