This time yesterday I was very happy. Both my girls were going over to their friends house and I was going to have some sneaky movie time. I was going to actually do something for myself and go to see Iron Man 3! I was sssooo looking forward to it, then the phone rang......Emma's friend cancelled for some reason or another and all I could see was ( Read more... )

I'm glad you got to see the movie and had fun with your daughter at the same time. :) And at least you got to see it already, I don't get to see the movie until Sunday! :P

I thought you would have seen it by now. Well, I think it's definitely worth the wait, and don't forget to sit through the credits....there's a little surprise at the end :-)

I'm pretty sure you won't wait this long to see Star Trek!!! It starts on Thursday next week here. I can't wait!!

Ironman 3 doesn't open here until Thursday at 9:00pm and Star Trek Into Darkness doesn't open here until the 17th so apparently you're special and get to see everything a week earlier than me. ;)

I know how hard it is when the time to yourself that you've been so looking forward to gets canceled. :( I'm sorry it happened, but glad you got to see the movie, anyway.

I'm so excited to see it!! :)

It was sssoo awesome!! I loved the whole thing, I wasn't bored once! Also, sit through the credits ;-) My daughter wanted to leave but I told her Marvel often have something at the end, and they didn't disappoint!

We always sit through the credits now, no matter what movie it is! Sometimes the ushers take pity on us and tell us that there's no need to stay... ;)

That's probably a good idea. They're getting sneaky with that now :-)

I'm sorry you've been going through such a rough time. I tend to be pretty selfish with my own free time, so I can understand why you were so disappointed when you lost yours. I'm glad you were able to see Iron Man 3 in the end and share a lovely afternoon with your daughter. :-)

You've helped me with this actually. Sometimes it takes a hit, but at the end of the day I was happy. So that's a good thing :-)

I'm so sorry you had such a disappointment. I know how much I value time to myself. For you with the demands of your family it must be so much more precious.

It is so hard to see that others have so much more than you no matter how hard you work. You deserve more. I wish I could help. *hugs*

I'm really glad that you went to see the movie anyway and enjoyed it with Emma.

I've really been trying hard not to dwell on it, but it's hard work and it's constant. In the end I had a lovely day with Emma and we had takeaways for tea. No regrets or disappointment. Maybe it's a lesson to be happy with what I have :-)
