(no subject)
Hello, woefully-neglected LJ! I have stopped by to impart several pieces of news.
1. I have not only secured a second part-time job that I don't really want, but have an interview scheduled with another college for a full-time. Should I get the latter job, I will be working like crazy from this August to next August in the hopes of paying off all my student loans. This means working over 50 hours a week, 7 days a week. After which...I am seriously thinking about quitting my reference assistant job. We will see how everything plays out...
2. By hook or by crook, I am going to Otakon 2013. I have begun to drum up some peeps to form an "Otakon 20th Anniversary Extravaganza Nakama." (It just rolls off the tongue, right?) I have one yes, one 90%-yes, and two maybes (depending on financial situation). I think it's a good start. The best part is that working like crazy will allow me to stash some cash aside for summertime convention revelry.
3. My parents are going away this weekend, which means WEEKEND OF NERDERY. Video games, junk food, anime...all the things I love best. :D
4. One more month until the new house! Normally summer feels like it's flying by, but in this case, it feels like forever!
