Excitement!
I have been offered an interview! It's for a part-time assistant position at a local community college's library. The pay and hours are not what I would have hoped for (plus, part-timers don't get benefits), but it's my targeted workplace type (small academic library) and about 20 minutes from where I live. It's a foot in the door, y'know? Hopefully, it can lead to full-time in the future.
This is, of course, assuming I get hired, so I shouldn't count those chickens just yet. (Even though I'm pretty confident about this one, guys!)
Other than that, renovations are winding down. We need the exhaust fan and backsplash installed in the kitchen, the chimney needs all sorts of things done to it, and we have to replace my parent's bathroom's faucet. I think that's it, but it seems that more things keep cropping up every day. I just hope that my diploma arrives before we have to leave the house. (Rutgers, you better come through!)
The interview is on Tuesday, so I need to invest in an interview outfit and possibly a haircut before then--lots to do!
