As a total novice at building websites, I wanted to get input from my various computer savy friends. I'm going to set a website to sell jewelry, etc and I wanted to know who was the most inexpensive, with the best reputation. I was looking at godaddy and yahoo, but didn't know if you guys had other knowledge or advice.

A friend of mine used to work for godaddy, he said they were fabulous.

Great, thank you. I'll probably end up using them.

I use godaddy as well. It wasn't hard to set up and the one time I needed to use their customer service, they were great. Didn't treat me like I was stupid...

Etsg.com ~ Free to sign up, $.20 per listing, 3% taken per sale...so it's REALLY a nice site to use. :)

I'm about to get on board with SpiritOne... they are local to the NW, have excellent rates, and you get to talk to a real live PacNW person when you call their stellar support line. My friend Fulori knows a bunch of the crew there, and I trust his judgment, he knows networks and servers inside and out, and has more certifications than any one person aught to.

don't go for godaddy, stay away from godaddy. They were great but then something happened after all the commercials. They've made some bad judgments a few months back that I'd make a decision not to use them. (not that I'm using anything)

The only thing with going with yahoo is that they seem to have site templates, and while they are ok and functional I can tell I'm on a yahoo sale site after 1 second. I have ordered from sites that are unique though.
