Nickname: Charcoal
Species: Charizard (shiny)
Sex: Female
Approximate Age: 7 years
Nature: Serious
Ability: Blaze
Type: Fire/Flying
Pokéball: Premier Ball w/ Smoke and Flame seals

Moves:
- Fly
- Flamethrower *
- Dragonbreath *
- Protect

** Her two breath weapons can be seen [ here ] Just for funsies to show the difference between the two types of flame.

Extended Info:
Purchased a newly hatched Charmander for a pretty penny from a breeder of rare fire types near Mt. Chimney, Charcoal was a birthday present to Harper on her 10th birthday. Charcoal is Harper's first "fighting" (non-pet) pokémon and one of her closest friends.

Charcoal is very in shape and loves the Pokéthlon. Her favorite and best event is the Ring Out Fight. Charcoal is very protective of her trainer and will often use Protect to help her. She also keeps the rambunctious pokémon (and Harper) in check. When Harper becomes enraged or upset, it is Charcoal who calms her down. When Harper's wacky plans seem just too wacky, Charcoal is the one who reels her in. She is level-headed and outwardly very serious, but deep down she is very maternal and cares a lot more than she shows. However, she does have her mischievous streak that shows up every now and then.

In battle, Charcoal believes in giving it her all, no matter what the situation. She often gets carried away and injures other pokémon. But like all Charizards, she is very proud, and will not use her Flamethrower attack at full power until the other pokémon has proved itself a worthy opponent.

Also, her bandanna has no real significance; she just thinks it makes her look tough.

Nickname: Gemineye or "Gemmy"
Species: Sableye
Sex: Female
Approximate Age: 7 years
Nature: Quirky
Ability: Keen Eye
Type: Dark/Ghost
Pokéball: Dusk Ball

Moves:
- Toxic
- Torment
- Recover
- Shadow Claw

Extended Info:
Harper found Gemineye inside Mount Mortar when she was 12 years old. Harper was going about her usual business of throwing rocks at Zubats and fishing in the calm cave water when a curious Sableye began watching her. Harper didn't like the creature at first, not realizing what it was and that it, in fact, had a mouthful of sharp teeth and was part ghost type. She threw a rock at it and left the cave.

However, the Sableye viewed the rock as a snack and ate it before following Harper out of the cave and back to her home in Ecruteak. Harper was going to bring the creature back home when her mother, a ghost type enthusiast and researcher, implored that Harper keep the Sableye. To solidify the deal, Harper's mother opened the pokémon's mouth, showing her rows of sharp teeth. Harper fell in love and Gemineye (what a wonderful pun) became Harper's second fighting pokémon.

Like all of Harper's pokémon, Gemmy loves the Pokéthlon. Her favorite events are Shooting Snow and Steal Flag.

Gemmy, like all Sableye, is very curious. She is also incredibly strange, occupying her time by staring at people, walking on her hands, walking backwards, staring at walls, etc etc. She loves humans and often clings to the legs of those she gets especially attached to. She has a bad habit of eating the gems out of people's jewelry, since Harper's mother has spoiled her with snacks of emeralds and rubies and other gems. She also enjoys chewing on shoes, though they don't last long when they find themselves in her sharp teeth.

In battle, Gemmy is very sneaky and playful. She uses Toxic to slow her opponents down and make them ill, then annoys them and wastes their time using Torment. She is quick and agile and avoids attacks with ease, only to run off and use Recover to keep herself in the game. She rarely uses her only attack move, Shadow Claw. She is a bit sadistic and likes to watch the poison do it's work on her opponent.

Her scarf is actually a normal scarf; however, Gemmy uses her strange ghostly powers to telekinetically use the scarf as a second pair of hands. This sometimes plays a role in battle, but mostly as a way for her opponent to catch her when she's running away.

Nickname: Kudzu
Species: Ivysaur
Sex: Female
Approximate Age: 4 years
Nature: Adamant
Ability: Overgrow
Type: Grass/Poison
Pokéball: Nest Ball w/ Flower Petal seals

Moves:
- Energy Ball
- Giga Drain
- Grasswhistle
- Power Whip

Extended Info:
Harper caught Kudzu as a young Bulbasaur in Ilex Forest. Not much of an origin story there. Just girl meets grass type, girl likes grass type, girl catches grass type.

Kudzu is very calm, hardheaded and vain. She is very interested in her own appearance and for that reason she refuses to evolve into a Venusaur or learn anything other than the most beautiful kind of moves of all, grass type moves. Because of her stalling in evolution, her flower bud has light colored spots, much like a Venusaur's flower.

She is not as enamored of the Pokéthlon as some of Harper's pokémon. She is more interested in Pokémon Contests, which Harper occasionally enters her in. She loves showing off her skills.

When it comes to battles, though, she can be very lazy, and she will never attack first. However, once her opponent attacks her (and messes up her perfectly placed leaves), she attacks back with violent vengeance and she doesn't give up until her opponent is not moving.

Nickname: Thrasher
Species: Sharpedo
Sex: Male
Approximate Age: 30 years
Nature: Bold
Ability: Rough Skin
Type: Water/Dark
Pokéball: Dive Ball

Moves:
- Crunch
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Zen Headbutt

Extended Info:
Thrasher (also called "Captain Thrasher", "Captain", "Cap'n" and variations thereof by Harper) is an old, powerful and wise Sharpedo and one of the most powerful pokémon that Harper owns. Thrasher lived in a river when he was a Carvanha. He quickly asserted his dominance within his school and became their leader. When he evolved into a Sharpedo, he moved from the river to the open sea, where he would occasionally hunt with groups of Sharpedo as a leader. But for the most part, apart from breeding seasons, he was alone.

He lived this way for many years, viciously defending his territory and coming to terms with his poor defense and stamina by training himself to extremes. He learned long ago that fish hooks were bad... but he became bored of his life at sea.

So one day, the fish came upon a hook dangling in his territory. Out of curiosity and boredom, he took the hook and attempted to pull whatever unfortunate human was on the other end into the ocean to be eaten. But this was not to be; Yurie Harper, on a deep sea fishing trip, managed to reel the creature in after a 3 hour battle, just her and the shark.

Exhausted, but amazed that such a small human could reel him in, Thrasher allowed himself to be caught and named. He never regretted his decision; Harper treats him well and allows him many freedoms (such as swimming freely in the oceans between Kanto and Johto when Harper travels between the regions). He also gets to see more parts of the world and fight more kinds of Pokémon than if he had stayed in the ocean, an experience he treasures.

He is not cocky or arrogant. He is thoughtful in his attack processes, but absolutely ruthless and often cruel. He's killed many wild pokémon during battles and severely injured trained Pokémon.

Nickname: Flieger
Species: Gliscor
Sex: Male
Approximate Age: 3 years
Nature: Brave
Ability: Sand Veil
Type: Ground/Flying
Pokéball: Heal Ball w/ Heart and Star seals

Moves:
- Earthquake
- Aerial Ace
- Sandstorm
- Swords Dance

Extended Info:
Flieger was caught by Harper as a Gligar. She stumbled upon a roost of Gligars. In her attempts to catch one, she scared them, and the entire roost took flight.

And one of them flew right into the trunk of a tree. That Gligar was Flieger. The roost did not come back for the village idiot, as it were, and Harper scooped him up and bandaged his head. And that was that. Harper soon purchased a Razor Fang and evolved him.

Flieger is not bright. He is not smart, he is not gifted and he is not brilliant. He is hardly even mediocre in the intelligence department. But what he lacks in brains he makes up in charm, willpower and strength. He constantly surrounds himself in bits of sand using Sandstorm and this sand captures the sun and makes him sparkle. He is very gentlemanly to women and men alike. He enjoys spinning, dancing and showing off.

Most of the time his attacks are fairly light and flashy. He loves to use Sandstorm and hide in it, then use Swords Dance and Aerial Ace on his enemies when they are blinded by the sand.

But he can get serious. He becomes serious when Harper is in danger or something he loves is being insulted. When he is serious, he lays his ears back and puts his goggles over his eyes. He then attacks with the full power of his Earthquake attack.

Nickname: Rocky
Species: Aerodactyl
Sex: Male
Approximate Age: 1 month
Nature: Docile
Ability: Rock Head
Type: Rock/Flying
Pokéball: Pokéball w/ star seals

Moves:
- Giga Impact
- Ancient Power
- Heat Wave
- Iron Head

Extended Info:
Rocky is a prize Pokémon. Harper received him as a prize for winning the Pokéathlon tournament, as his egg was donated to the tournament by a Pokéathlon fan who also happens to be an amazing breeder specializing in fossil Pokémon. This is the reason for Rocky's powerful moveset and excellent stats. However, he is just a baby, and he has a lot to learn before he'll be any good at actually using his powerful attacks.

The little Aerodactyl is quite precocious, but also reliant on his trainer for food and protection, as his skin hasn't hardened into it's rock-like texture yet. He also cannot fly, only glide. For the most part, he either rides on Harper's shoulder, on Charcoal or in his Pokéball. Charcoal has brought it upon herself to keep the baby happy and comfortable. Rocky is very active and playful, and is being taught not to bite. Kind of. Maybe. Harper hasn't started him on any sort of real training regimen for battling or Pokéathlon yet, instead focusing on behavioral training and letting the little guy grow up how he wants.

Which usually involves running around and eating bugs and nibbling on people.

Nickname: Pandora
Species: Crobat
Sex: Female
Approximate Age: 5 years
Nature: Sassy
Ability: Inner Focus
Type: Flying/Poison
Pokéball: Dusk Ball w/ Heart seals

Moves:
- Brave Bird
- Cross Poison
- Hypnosis
- Giga Drain
* Captivate (not really a move, just... something she does)

Extended Info:
Pandora was captured as an adorable Zubat. And in Pandora's mind? She is still adorable. No one seems to have told her otherwise. Pandora is vain, cruel and not against cheating to win (something Harper frowns upon a lot).

Pandora is kept in reserve for the most part because she absolutely refuses to be in the party at the same time as Kudzu; she is fiercely jealous of Kudzu, who gets to attend contests and is more beautiful than Pandora is. Pandora is just a purple, poisonous ball of beauty queen hatred and vitriol. She bites, she scratches, she screeches and she is generally unpleasant to everyone.

Nickname: Rampage "Paige"
Species: Gyarados (Butterfly Koi variety)
Sex: Female
Approximate Age: 3 years
Nature: Gentle
Ability: Intimidate
Type: Water/Flying
Pokéball: Pokéball w/ Bubble seals

Moves:
- Dragon Dance
- Waterfall
- Icy Wind
- Hyper Beam

Extended Info:
Rampage (a misnomer of a nickname... Harper usually just calls her "Paige") was once a decorative Magikarp in a pond by Harper's house. Harper selected her out of the pond to raise into a Gyarados. Despite being a supposedly "fierce" dragon, Paige is still a goldfish at heart. She is very proud of her flowing fins and spots and doesn't like to battle hard (or battle at all) for fear of ripping her fins or whiskers.

She behaves more like a pet than a battler and is domesticated through and through. She enjoys putting her head in Harper's lap and having her head fins scratched and whiskers twirled. She is very shy around strangers and typically cowers in the water or behind Harper, almost as if she still thinks she is a small, helpless fish.

However, she is still a Gyarados, and when she has to, she will battle fiercely, unleashing powerful Hyper Beams on her opponents as a last resort.
