Have you read the His Dark Materials books? By Phillip Pullman? There's a Mary Malone in the books, and I think that in Pre-Searing there's a Mary Malone too. You even do a quest for her. XD

oh dearie me. I think I saw her, but didn't pick up the reference.

there's someone around in LA, or something too. with some sort of reference to something, but I forget.
