guild wars stuff
oh god. oh god. I was looking at guild wiki and like...the paragon's shouts are almost unbearable. A few references, like the rogdort (trogdor) skills and The Darknesses (I'm attacking the darkness!) who drop ogre slaying knives (+9) were okay, but this....
a few shout skills:
"can't touch this!"
"go for the eyes!"
"never give up!"/"Never surrender!"
"we shall return!"
"make your time!"
"they're on fire!"
"It's just a flesh wound"
"The Power is Yours!"
....just make me cry. cry so hard. I like how there are 8 skills, enough to fit into a skill slot. if I ever get nightfall, I think I'm going to take as many of these as possible. and then wield the ogre slaying knife. god, what a walking cliche.
in other gaming news, swat 4 was muuch fun and enjoyable. gotta join random servers more often, apparently I'm not bad--I like covering people's backs. granted when I see people I have an instinct to shoot on sight (it being swat, we're supposed to have some rules of engagement not fire until threatened hostages or ourselves) but that goes out the window for me when they're flanking us--and since that's all I get to see, them baddies are going doown. oh--and after people left, me and this other guy managed to get through the nightclub level (loots of chaos) just us, nearly perfect score (87 or so--10 off for killing without following the rules of engagement--he had his gun out but not pointing at anyone, though I knew that could change in a heartbeat, and 3 off for my buddy getting hit once.) all in all, good times.
in other news, rowing was tres fun. it's alot better when people aren't stuck up and in your face. old fogies are awesome. I gotta say. Des was surprised to see me, and I discovered that DIRT (davis invitational) is next week, so I might have to get going to see that. might be nice to see some of the old peeps and such, see them kill sonoma state and cal lights. or not. but it might be fun regardless.
