Random Rambling posts because well everybody does them.
To start off everybody I know is in school and a lot of them tell me I should be to. Well I do plan on going back but if the damn school system would get their head out of their asses maybe I might. My last semester at the local community college I was studying to be a vet and took animal classes. Seems easy enough right?
NOPE.
Most would think the classes would be seperated by big animal/little animal as hello, completely seperate professions/Practices but nope. In one fucking quarter when anatomy came up we had to learn, i kid you not: Cows, Sheep, Horses, Pigs, Dogs, Cats, Birds and even a section on reptiles and while we're busy studying all their parts we also had to learn each species cycle, gestation, birth litters and all kinds of stuff. Then while we had all that there was a packet each week to study and a quiz after that. Then the next quarter we had on virus' but no couldn't learn heart worm, or ticks or no, we had to learn the medical/latin term of it where most of the simple things as 'parvo' equaled to a SEVENTEEN LETTERED WORD and there were a zillion of them in that section. So many people failed that class I kid you not and it was just stressful and really killed my kid long dream of being a vet.
Not to mention homework. You're in class for an hour but go home with 5 hours of homework. Really if they cant teach you what you need to learn in that hour maybe they shouldn't be teaching or or even bother having that class. Its bullshit.
And another random musing I got into with my coworker the other day is how in the world does a color mean flavor? RED wine, BLUE raspberry, PINK lemonade? -boggle-?
And a third musing. The author of the book I'm reading I think forgot her own work. I just read 'Men of the Otherworld' by Kelley Armstrong (from late '08) which is an offshot from her other books 'Women of the Otherworld' series and it was the life of her werewolf Pack members Clayton and Jeremy Danvers. Well the book says theyve always lived at Stonehaven alone and their friends Antonio and Nick visit, they like the quiet but now Im reading 'Bitten' which is the first book she'd ever written (from '01) in her Women series and it says Elena has lived there for 10 years and had a on and off fling with Clayton and Jeremey goes out and is demanding when its so opposite to the other one. I mean. Im only like 50 pages into the book and confused out of my mind. -boggle again- Oo
Has anybody ever had that feeling where you want something sweet to the point of driving yourself fucking crazy but yet you dont even really know WHAT you want? I'm going through that. I want something but I've already raided the pantry and nothing sounds good. -twitch-. Maybe when I go to work I'll find something in our dessert selection?
Another random ramble. Work changed their time clocks and its kinda frustratingly annoying. Before it used to round it up to even numbers like 5:00, 5:15, 5:30 and so on and so on making paychecks clean and simple and the clock in/out times easy to read and do the math if you're getting all the hours you worked but now if you clock in at 4:53 it will not go to 5p.m but stays at 4:53 and same with clocking out. And they now have a new rule you'll get written up clocking in too early. I think right now my hours are at 8:56 and so many seconds and its just like arghh. And the kicker is they didnt really tell anybody about the clock change but as far as I know nobody got the write up yet.
I think thats it for now but knowing me I'm sure there will be a lot more of these posts as I really think my fic-muse has commited suicide. I have no inspiration anymore and will just be staring at Word for hours before giving up and closing the window. I dont even have an idea TO try to write. It's completely empty up there and not just writers block. Sigh. IDK anymore, hopefully it will come back as I do love to write.
And I painted my toenails emerald green heh. It looks strangely pretty. Most the time my nails are dark blue or black so seeing such an odd color most people dont have. Yeah.
