Hello again everyone! This is in continuation of this post so that we can get an idea of what YOU, our members, want to see happen with this community in terms of general activity and just fun stuff to do as a community
( Read more... )
Mmm, I think there might or might not be at least a few people who would be willing to read it...but I can't say for certain that that's true. If anything, if people match up for any activities that involve reading writing and you participate, you'll most likely be able to include (because of the information we'll ask for via comments) information about what you write so that others can have an idea of what you write.
I would like to be able to take part in the story-swapping, if I would have the time to do so, but there's really no guarantee for that, so I think I will have to bow out of that one, unfortunately.
Otherwise I think I answered YES PLEASE GIMME to just about everything. :-)
However, I'll probably skip out on the story-swaps. It has been more than a year since I've written something last and while I really would like to start again, there's a lot of training to be done first. Plus I'd be in general too embarrassed to show my crappy writing to anyone (besides my wife). O.o
Awww. :( I'm sure it's not crappy. Maybe we'll come up with some activities that wouldn't require AS much of your writing to be shared. Like...at getyourwordsout (for some reason I think I might be mixing it with thewritingpen but I'm pretty sure it's getyourwordsout that does it), they have posts where you submit the best piece of dialogue you've written/best scene/best whatever for whatever you're working on at that time, and then they make polls for voting on them...so maybe we can do something like that, where you just submit something brief. It wouldn't have to be anything absolutely amazing or anything, and it'd be fun to add as an activity. (Duh, I didn't even think of that until now).
Erm, I don't know what the "soundtrack" thing is, so that one and the Art/Fanmix ended up as "others" because I don't know what they are! And the 6month story swap...I would love to, but it sort of depends on whether I get anything written! I'm just world-building right now, no real "story" to go with it.
I explained what the "soundtrack" thing is in the explanations part of the post. :) But basically, when we had our our year anniversary we had people come up with a list of music they would choose for their current writing project. They could create their own album (or find someone to do so) and then submit what they came up with as part of the challenge
