Ok so...first off: HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAMMEH!!!
Second...the job(location) is not as bad as I thought it would be. Im still in the middle of freeeekin nowhere but Im on the largest training installation in the US. This base is 25 miles wide O.o
Today was my first day on the job and already I was in 3 meetings and had a tour of some of the base and had girl chat with the Chief of Transportation. We're like tight already! We're going to go out for dinner and Im going to help her move into her newly built home.
First meeting was the Commander-Director Meeting at 0830. I met with the Inspector General and Chief of Staff of the base and most of the brigade XO's and listened in while they gave the weekly updates. That took about an hour and a half. Then had a safety meeting and after lunch had a meeting with the Transportation Div. On Thursday Im going to meet some visiting General and tour the training grounds with him. My boss told me today, they are going to keep me hopping. I will NEVAR be bored at that installation so I am very excited about this part.
The area still sucks.....there is not a whole lot to do here even less since its winter. So.....there is my hotel, the base, a few restaurants, and a Walmart. and nothing else for more than a 100 miles.
