You've heard me rave about them before. Pink Floyd. Oh. my. god.They were on MTV yesterday playing at Live 8 and i was almost in years just watching them from the television. It was beautiful...Pink Floyd...they didn't do alot of drugs (just mainly acid...thats how how Syd Barret eventually blew his mind and eventually died)...thats cuz they are the drug. I do pink floyd. THAT is my drug, my friends...that is my drug. They played a song off of thier cd Animals, "Money", "Wish you were here", and "Comfortably Numb". In that order.
Syd Barret was the mastermind behind pink floyd. He was the one who started it before they got reallllyyy big. He was the singer before they found Rodger Waters (which yall know)...and alot of songs were about him (one is- "Shine on you crazy diamond") cuz they felt bad for having to let him go. As brillant as he was...he was just blown on acid. He'd just stand on stage to play and....and just stand there staring off into space. In the interviews hed get asked questions (cuz he was the main man) and do the same thing then just go nuts. But Rodger Waters nevertheless is a brillant mind himself....
If they ever all get back to get together for more than just Live 8. It would be my dream, my pleasure, my everything to see them. Even if it was the last row in the whole place. But to be up there near the stage...i'd hump the person who got me the tickets (well. not it were my parents...ahh lol)...i'd spend all the money i have for tickets. no shit.
