So...I found Valjean a friend. He's a mink berkshire dumbo rat, I'd guess about 6 months old. He got named Monet because his coloring reminds me of Monet's water lily painting. He's currently in quarantine. I almost brought home his black berkshire friend, but thought my cage might be a tiny bit cramped with all three of them in there. Broke my heart though to leave him behind.
I'm dutifully writing out plot ideas on note cards, highlighting for various reasons, and veritably chomping at the bit to get on with nano. Why is it not here yet! this waiting is going to be the end of me, I can see it now. I want to start right away, while the idea is fresh. I'm even having dreams about it. How strange is that? One of my characters walked into the room with my ex boyfriend and best friend and offered me a doughnut. I think I might just be a bit sleep deprived or something.
Perhaps all this desire to write is really just procrastination from cleaning my room. From looking around that very well could be it.
Edit to add: Pictures of my fuzzbuts
To prove to my dear friends that they're not scary. I don't have any pictures of the boys yet, because I'm worried they'll get freaked out by my camera as it is rather large and looks like it might eat some ratties. My girls however think that it's a great toy, and want to climb it.
These pictures are just a few days old, but they were taken at night. Because most my camera stuff is back in PA the lighting sucks, but the ratties are still cute!
Nynx is the black one, with the headspot, Pepper is light gray (blue) and white hooded.
Look how cute I am! Not scary at all!
They play hide and go-seek with me. Pepper thinks the laptop is a great place to hide.
This is Nynx's sweet-and-innocent-give-me-cheerios-face.
They both love to type on the computer.
Pictures of Valjean and Monet soon.
