Thanks to all of you who offered kind words to my yesterday. I'm terrible for dealing with loss, and I dont know exactly what to say to you all individually. Just know that I really appreciate it.

I'm attempting to keep my mind busy and stay productive, and not just mope. In an attempt to do that I'm thinking forward to Nano. I've never participated in nano before, I'm not exactly sure why, but I'd like to try this time. We all know how unsuccessful my summer write project was, so I'm looking for redemption here.

I have a few different ideas that have been bouncing around my head, I'm just not sure they are sustainable. What I really want to do with my writing is to work more on my descriptions, of places and things, and really make you feel like you are there. Unfortunately everyone I talk to about nano says that it's not exactly time to focus on improving your writing, just a time to hammer it out and get it over with. Maybe I can manage to do a bit of both? If I concentrate on writing crappy description I can come back and see how bad it is and edit it later? Some one tell me nano is worth it!

I also want to finish a big project, just to say that I did it. I understand that it will be crap, but I'm so sick of half finished things sitting on my computer...taunting me.

My back has been killing me for the past couple of days. I just made an appointment for my chiro, of course it's going to make me skip my exercise class, but I doubt I'd be able to do it anyway. Maybe I'll use the elliptical machines between class and my appointment. Yay the pain is almost gone, just a few more hours.

On the pet front Mr. Yankee Doodle(the fish) is starting to loose his white color. Technically that's good because he's becoming more healthy. It's funny though, one side is turning pink, the other side blue. He's an odd fish. The girl rats are loving the hanging tunnel I made for them out of the leg of a size zero pant leg(I bought the pants from savers for $3, and I think it's the best toy I've ever gotten them. Also the least expensive). Valjean the boy rat continues to be lazy, although yesterday I did see him try and climb the side of the cage, fail then give up. The search for a cage mate for him continues.
