Thoughts on "Munich"

Went to see "Munich" at the Colossus in Langley last night. If you haven't seen it yet, I urge you to do so. At 2 hours and 44 minutes, it does run for awhile but the length didn't really bother me much. The film features astounding imagery, both beautiful and horrific and delivers a message that responding to terrorism with vengeance only gets more people killed in the end and turn everyone involved into murderers. The movie does not necessarily say that either side of the Jewish/Muslim conflict is right or wrong but all will be lost if things continue in their current direction. The sad truth is that violence does indeed beget more violence. So how do we overcome the violent tendencies and will we ever be able to break such a vicious cycle? No matter what your beliefs are on the subject I believe it's worth a couple of hours of your time to see this movie.
