yet another update from Torrance

I said "Torrance" with a strain. It's still instinct to call it home, even though it's not... I'm not quite sure how I feel when I'm here. Not like a child, but not really detached from it either. It's just this really odd feeling of combined dislike and comfort. My mom put curtains on all the windows. I guess they're nicer than the blinds, but

It's the smog of Southern California, I feel it creates that feeling of wanting to get away. I think with Family it isn't love, it's more over a trust, that they will always have your back, even if you hate them and they hate you, they'll always take blood over water. Ally McBeal was only funny the first two or three seasons...

Dude the smog sucks. I've had a horrendous cold since I got here. Congested and sniffly and coughing all the time. One can't even smoke a cigarette in peace here.
