Wish you were here!
I absolutely love it here in Thailand! The people are so friendly, the food is delicious and the Wats are amazing! We are down in Ao Nang near Krabi for a few days, and it is ridiculously over-run by tourists. Never in my life have I seen so many 'fa-rang' (foreigners) in one place. There are moments where it pains me to be considered one of them, but of course, I can't be anything else.
Bangkok was great, we visited a lot of the important Wats and basically just did the tourist thing. We did make it to China town for Chinese New Year, and had delicious roast duck noodle soup. Yummy! Today was spent riding an elephant, planting rice in a paddy, cooking and easting some delicious Thai food and climbing around in a cave. There is SO much to do here. Tomorrow we are headed to Rai Lay to kayak to some secluded islands, it should be amazing!
We are here for 2 more days and then will be flying up to Chiang Mai. I think we are going to take the train back to Bangkok and stop at Sukhothai and Ayutthaya on the way. We should have enough time to finish our whirlwind tour of Thailand. Needless to say I may need a vacation to recover from my vacation!
