Phew, all done with the studying that has kept me up until dawn the past couple of nights. My presentations in my P.E. classes both went really well, and I was pretty confident on my muscle physiology exam, too. Anyways, enough with the boring school stuff.
Last wednesday, Brett and Adee came to visit! We got a quick bite to eat at IHOP that night and then hung out at gym, the dorms, Shelly's work, and Uno's all day Thursday. Then Thirsty Thursday was a blast. We took tons of pics, tried not to hit our heads, laughed at the she-wolf, and even discovered the meaning of life ("gangstas don't dance with boogies") haha. It was really sad having to say goodbye on Friday, but I get to see them and everyone else back home this weekend!
Saturday morning we left for our competition up at Univ. of Washington. We won despite a few mishaps, I threw a bunch of new tricks, and I even placed 3rd on pbars! Most everybody on the team flew back early on Sunday to be home for Easter, but a couple of us stayed to walk around downtown Seattle. First stop was the EMP museum, where they had a bunch of sweet musical exhibits and toys. (btw everybody HAS to see the "concert" dvd that we made. we had everyone in the museum rolling.) After making Aaron go on the log ride by himself in the rain, we headed over to Pike Place Market to browse around the shops, eat some delicious clam chowder, and indulge me with "The Collossal" (the biggest waffle cone sundae I have ever seen/eaten.) However, the ice cream wasn't sitting too well in my stomach later when we had to run our asses off through the airport. Once we realized that our flight was 45 minutes earlier than we thought, we only had 20 minutes to drop the rental van off (without filling it up with gas), catch the shuttle, beg the ticket attendant to let us on the flight, and get through security. Luckily we made it (actually with 5 minutes to spare, thank you), though we were our of breath for sure. Hopefully my flight home this weekend won't be so stressful.
