Today was an exciting day at school I got to see my usual great friends. Its always great to hang out with them even if its just for a few minutes. But the greatest thing about today in school was when I went to go see the VA rep so i can get information on how i can get free health care from the government because of my veteran status in the military. He gives the location and the phone number of the nearest VA hospital and as I'm about to walk out of the door he quickly tells me to stop and asked me if i would like to get more money. AH HELL who wouldn't like to get more money from the government. I guess a new chapter was passed either the september that just passed or last years september where military personel going to school would be getting more money and also depending on how long you were on active duty for. As of right now I'm getting $497 a month just for going to school and with this new chapter that came out i was told i'll be getting anywheres from an aditional $300-$400 a month added on top of what im already getting. So that comes out to be almost $900 a month i'll be getting just for going to school how awesome is that. There are days that I truly do hate being in the military and wish i was never in but then I remember all of hte great friends i've made over the past 4 years and all of hte extra benefits I get out of hte military. Also another great thing is that i'll be getting back pay for all of the other months that has passed that i never got payed for. Oh when the day comes that i receive that check in the mail. I'm going to take all of my friends out to any restaurant of there choosing.
