*Sigh* Yes, I do feel extremely bad for not having been around for the past... 6 weeks ^.^ But college is interesting and I'm not sure if that's good or bad ^.^ Bad: I have yet to spend a night sober or sleep in my own bed. The first night, I crashed on Harry's futon. Walking 20 minutes across campus to my own dorm at 3am just didn't seem like a good idea. And the second night, we were 7 floors below my room, so instead of making Harry walk across campus to his room, we both slept on top of my bed (so no, not technically *in* it...) Good: I have a decent gauge of my tolerance because I don't want to get as bad as last night again and I felt like shit this morning. And I met people. Oooh, so there's this guy, Drew Keenner, that should maybe sound vaguely familiar to old GDS people. I saw him on the NCSSM bus to Charlotte every month, and he always looked really familiar. Lucky me, he and another guy both know Harry and are in the same frat together, so we went there the first night and, with the minor aid of alcohol, I found out that he's really from GDS. He was in the grade above us and was there for 3rd and 4th grade. And his sister, Abby Keener was in ours but I think I remember him more... yay for advanced math placement! He's cute and I like the frat. It's very un-fratty. There wasn't a ton of alcohol, and people weren't grinding all over each other and people from NCSSM were there. And I didn't get nearly as wasted as I did last night, so I'd rather go to the frat.
And yeah.. last night was bad. There was Harry, some guy from his hall I know decently, the guy's brother, and the brother's friends. Maybe.. 8 people total? I remember really clearly noticing that the brother looked like someone names Nick Lehman, but I couldn't really pronounce Nick Lehman, so I called him Lick Nehman. I think it's because the only thing they had was Jim Bean, and I drink about the same volume regardless of alcohol content. The first night was cheap beer, so it wasn't bad but Jim Bean, like the loud, wasted guy said "fucks your shit up." He was delightfully incoherent ^.^ But no, no more Jim Bean, ever. Especially in a blue plastic cup that's too big, so you can't really tell how much you're drinking. I can and will be a reasonably intelligent college student. And now to go do my homework for Chem. I hate that they assigned work before the first day of classes. And is it just me, or is it weird that my teacher signs his emails "Your teacher and friend, [name]"? The friend bit throws me...
