AsiaFest

Movies since last time:
Flightplan - pretty good, I was worried it would become a horror movie, but it was surprisingly realistic
Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story - I like variety in my movie-watching!
The Royal Tenenbaums - it was funny, but with Ben Stiller and the Wilson brothers (Owen and Luke) I expected more humor. Sweet movie though

AsiaFest was last night. It really made me realize this is the last year. Sure, the beginning of 3rd trimester meant something, but I could've fooled myself into believing it was just another trimester. AsiaFest was quite excellent though, better than last year in many aspects. But NCSSM has some sort of Jay Chou fetish. And I just wanted to check, is it the entire world that's obsessed or just my school? Living in this bubble all the time, it's hard to tell. But when 3 of the 11 musical performances are both from the same guy, it's a little strange. The piano duel (Dragon Heel) was really awesome though. This is the closest version I could find, except we had more strings and a drum set for percussion instead of the xylophone (so ours really did sound a lot better):

Maybe I'll be more Asian for once and dl some Jay Chou from somewhere.
