So it turns out Gallitzin, PA is a town where money does not matter....okay that is not necessarily true, but everything is extremely cheap there, especially if you are coming from Hawaii, or any metropolitan area in the U.S. So this became a pretty important element of our trip as we begin to use this cute little corner diner/bar as our main place to hang out when not at the wedding. So Saturday of the wedding we woke up to a little basket outside our door, with muffins, juice, fruit, decaf coffee and tea...how cute is that. We ate breakfast with Tank on the deck and watched the trains come by. It was a sunny, not too warm not cold, September morning in PA. AFter breakfast we went to check on the bride and bridesmaids who had been up and running for sometime. Then we wanted food and walked all over the place, trying several different places that were either closed, or filled with smoke, and finally found the cutest little diner and got lots of deep fried food for $8.00 :) The wedding itself was just beautiful. Fall colors were coming in at the Allegheny Port Authority- a old rail site, at the amphitheater. Jess was the most beautiful bride, she looked like she could be out of a bridal magazine, her dress and whole outfit fit her perfectly and she just looked elegant and beautiful. Her and her bridesmaids walked out to The Cranberries, and the whole thing was just very Jess and Bob. After the wedding we had a few hours to kill before the reception so we went back to our little diner with the rest of the girls who came in, and hung out. They got a ton of free beers, I got some free birthday cake from a child's party they were holding next door, and some yummy greasy food. I thought it would be difficult hanging out with everyone, catching up, but not being able to partake in the free and cheap beer flowing through the little PA diner, but it really wasn't so bad. I had a blast hanging out with everyone, and sporting the baby bump. Afterward we took all the drunkies to the reception, got to watch them dance, and eat, and do some dancing.
