My Reviews
So last night I got the new Evanescence cd. I also picked up the Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children movie. So lets start with the cd. Overall, it is not quite as good as the first cd. Mind you, I have only listened to is once through, but the music does not seem to be as musical, if you will. In the first cd, there was a lot of rythmic variation and more melodious lines. This cd has some really good spots, but not nearly as many as the first cd. This may be due to a different guitarist and his influences. Don't get me wrong, it is still a good cd, but compared to the first cd, it falls a little short. I didn't get to pay a lot of attention to the lyrics, but it is clear that she hates or seriously dislikes her ex Boyfriend. Almost every song seems to be about this. anyway, I would probably give it a B/B+.
Onto the movie. **Warning: If you do not like the FF series, then you will probably care less about this** So of the 2 FF movies, this one is definately much better. Granted, I haven't finished the game, which is a precurser, but I was able to follow it. They could have done more with the materia and summons, but oh well. I wouldn't have minded seeing some more of them. The CGI was very good. It amazes me what they can do. Well, that is it for the review.
Other than that, I have been getting a little bored at work. I am working on 3 projects, but one is incredably slow (as in the reactions take days), one I am training someone on and the other I am waiting on things for the third. I have been working on my General (the big exam I have to take to become "A PhD canadate") but I need a little break from that. I can only do that for so long before I go batty.
