OMG it has been over a year since i have posted anything. I am still alive and loving life.
So what is new??? I am doing crew on top of being in the band, playing ultimate, taking classes, and working half time(I am also a student coordinator where i work). A year ago i would have told anyone that i am a night person. And it was true then. But things do change. Now i get up at 5 in the morning every morning and go out to the water to row. On Monday i only have work and i work about 8 hours and i get home when the stars are already out. And Tuesdays I am on campus until 10 at night. Wednesday I am on campus till 5 and i go to the gym after for an hour and at 6 I have a council meeting to attend for the band. On Thursday I have Ultimate practice or gym time and i am at school till 8. So that leaves Friday which is my only short day. I work till 2 and i have the rest of the day to myself if i don't go out of town. This is the first weekend that i don't have to go anywhere. So getting homework done and cleaning my room is the priority.
I moved into a new house in June and i still don't feel like i have moved in. I moved from a huge room to a room half the size. But we have a backyard, garage and a decent sized kitchen and living room. I also room with the best two people that i could have. We do things equally around the house. Leon and Laura will cook when they have time. Which is a good trade off because i like to clean the living room and the bathroom as well as the kitchen. We are also very comfortable with each other and have not yet gotten in to any kind of huge fight. my living situation is so much better than last year. A house full of six girls was a little too much. I felt like i didn't have my own space and there was a party EVERY weekend. Which should never happen when i have the science classes that i have.
Speaking of classes. I have switched majors again. But my minors are still the same. So now i am working on a NRPI major and my minors are Oceanography and Environmental Ethics. I should be done pretty soon. I want next year to be my last year but i wouldn't mind if i had to do another year after next. I am honestly enjoying my classes and the people that i meet. I also don't know where i want to go when i am done. I know that i would like to go to South America to do something with the Peace Corps. but that i still a bit down the line. Then there is the question if I want to stay around Arcata. I love the rain here and the mellow summers. It is also nice when people are not in a hurry and the movies are not 30 min away. I have come to love the small town and will never make it back to the bay area. :(
Well I do have to get back to work. I will try to write more often and i would love to hear from the rest of you.
