Today is one of the three days a week that the Ultimate team is scheduled to practice. I was really looking forward to this one because i have only been able to throw and catch a disc twice since school has started(August 21). When i got out to the field no one was there and i was there at exactly 11am. I waited about 20 min and only one other person came out. The both of us must have missed a memo that there was no practice today. Suck ass.
So why has it been so long since i have been able to play? It was not due to my knee this time, I think that i have it under control. Two weeks before school started I fractured my left hand. I took a while for me to be comfortable just running around with others on the field. It took even longer for me to be able to catch just with my left hand. As soon as my left hand was healed i cut my index finger, on my right hand, with a meat slicer. I did this on Monday the 11th. Right before a camping trip. :( The wound was deep enough to need stitches and i went back to work after they were put in. I hate needles and they gave me Valium to calm me down but it didn't do a thing. It did kick in after the stitches were in. So there is part of the day, back at work, that i really don't remember.
As you can see I have put my hands through a lot for the past couple of months. And there goes my record of not breaking a bone and not having stitches. And i wish i had a better story as to how i fractured my hand. It is really sad. I just wanted to sit on a cement pathway and when i let go of my balance i was a bit higher off the ground than what i wanted to be. So all my weight went on my hand and i fractured it. Sad, is it not?
