God it annoys me when Big Day Out tickets go on sale. the line-up this year is SHIT HOUSE as usual, shitty bands that have popped up in the last year, and will fade just as quickly. More so i hate the FUCKING IDIOTS who buy tickets to the BDO. People go just cause it's like 'omg bdo i wanna go and party like some fucken bogan with an aussie flag

Totally agree, the line-up this year was crap. I would only bothered to go to see Neil Young and The Prodigy. But even then, I would have only been mildly interested in seeing them, not enough to actually fork out money.

OH but in other news... The Importance of Being Earnest is playing at the Opera house again (I nearly wrote Oprah, oh dear), the same one we saw!

People should spend their money going to things like that.

Actually, no they shouldn't because I quite enjoy that kind of person not being at such events.

Yeah what i meant by 'this country' is the affected people living here. In the end the australian population make up the country, and allow themselves to be so effected by western pull (other nations i.e its people are heaps less effected even though they receive as much western influence as we do). I kind of see it like a 'i was told to kill that person' thing, just because you were influenced, doesn't mean you didn't have a choice.

Plus its hard not to hate such an idiotic age bracket.

And my real 'beef' is not as much with the fact that people go out there just to get pissed, more because they think they're all hard and cool for going to a 'rock concert' (however a pathetic excuse BDO is). Such a huge waste of money and time!

I was just thinking about it, and not one person i know thats GENUINELY interested in any area of music is going to the Big Day Out. You get some of the metal heads going but they go to pop pills and head bang and shit.

In the end the Big Day Out isn't a music event at all, it's a business aimed to make money off the fucken idiots of our generation

My point exactly, we have reached the fucking end of our civilisational lifespan, we need a new system a new thought patter or else we will just keep spending money to disengage from life so that we can deal with working to keep spending money to disengage, it's a sick fucking cycle.
