After going back and forth all day as an intermediary between my wife and
Warren Jewelers and being left to make the final decision on what would be done. I’ve decided to follow through with an offer made by one of the employees to replace the diamond. Heather has graciously offered to pay for the replacement of the diamond. I can’t say that solves the problem unfortunately, but it helps.
I’m still feeling quite sick over the whole problem. We now own an expensive ring that Michele doesn’t want to wear right now because of the bad taste this whole situation has left in her mouth. What’s more is that right now any warranty or garauntee that the ring would have had is immaterial to us for the simple fact that we both feel like taking it in to be resized would just result in more stress.
Tonight will be a long night.
