went to sotu with dustin yesterday. we got lost on our way to the venue because that's what happens when you mix cleveland, metal, and myself. but.. we made it to the parking lot in time to hear high on fire's last song, which was disappointing, because we really wanted to see them again. we ran into all sorts of zanesville people, and that was amusing. madball played after high on fire (i think) and i didn't enjoy them all that much, mainly because i was afraid one of the asshole hardcore dancing kids was going to hit me. i hate those kids. so we kind of wandered away from the stage at that point, and we ran into more old friends. norma jean came on some time later, and i thought they were great. and fuck off if that makes me uncool. after norma jean, i think strapping young lad came on. and i hate to admit, but they were fucking awesome. i never thought i'd say that. after strapping young lad, gwar played, and i was highly amused. opeth came out after gwar, and i was terribly excited, but the sound seemed all weird. all i could really hear were kick drums, at least where i was standing. but i was still crazy excited to see them. eh, i guess that's it. just wanted to update.
