Exhaustion times a billion
i played tennis today. lots of tennis. i am now very very very exhausted. i played women's doubles 2 (6-2, 6-3), 2nd singles (1-6,4-6), and women's doubles 1 (2-8) again. i played doubles with Stacey. we play pretty well together but i don't particularly like playing with her because she says things like "you need to get that" when i miss/miss hit something. i mean really, i know when i shouldn't have missed something. i never say anything like that to her when she botches her forehand, which she did a lot during serve recieve. on Friday Nick and i played John and Stacey, for always playing together you'd think they'd have done much better, but they didnt', the score was 6-3, 4,6. at one point they were trying to syche each other up but at the same time they were getting down on each other and themselves. at one point Stacey kept returning the serve out and John told she didn't have to hit it hard and she was like "i'm not trying to effing hit it hard."
i haven't played singles in so long i kept having to move from the corner to the middle to serve. i also kept hitting in the alleys which i don't even do when i'm playing doubles. the first set was a bust, but the second set was pretty awesome. it made me miss playing singles. i hadn't played so hard in so long, it was exhilerating. i was so exhausted physically but mentally i was energized. i lost the second set cuz i couldn't execute. i'd create an opening, i'd see the opening, but i couldn't hit the ball there. i would hit the tape, trying to get there.
Stacey didn't want to play another match from the get go, so we were screwed to begin with. she didn't even care enough to criticize me when i missed/miss hit something. it especially bothered me when we were down 2-7 (we were playing a pro set) and it was her serve, she was like "it's okay only one more to go." obviously by saying that you don't intend on winning your serve. but she acted like she was so hyped after every hit and after a mistake (mine or hers) she was like "it's okay, we'll get it back." at that point i was thinking "why the f are you even faking like you want to win?" i'm not fond of Stacey but i don't know why, i'm thinking it's because i get this condescending/fake vibe from her.
