Lawnmower Strings To The New Age

Here we are, birthed into the new year.

'09 has been good so far.

Winter break waned until its disappearance. I didn't manage to make much of it other than hanging out in my attic. I hit up the necessary outlets a regular number of times, I'm sure. I don't remember who I hung out with, if anybody. I also was introduced to the wonders of Jumbo, thanks to Chewy and Brendan. We had a good Monopoly match with Dan and Alex afterwards. I have no idea how I manage to last so damn long in that game.

I did visit Stroudsburg one time, for the sake of not going out there enough in my opinion. I was there during somewhat of a rainstorm, so the mall wasn't too crowded. I found a great record store out there though. Great selection, and lots of it. I'll have to bring Dave next time.

Uhhh....I had a few difficulties in moving back in. I won't go into those, but it worked in my favor since I arrived back at college at 4:30 AM and was able to move back in with no interruption. All of my stuff is here, and most of it's still on the floor in relatively the same position that I threw it in.

I turned 22 with little to no fanfare. Not too much you can do at 22 anyway...at least nothing that you can't do at any other age. I'll have to pry open the possibilities here.

I did hit up north before I went back. My car kind of went on the fritz, but it seems ok now. They keep moving shit around on me up there; the Kingston GOS is now in the main strip and it is really unfortunate that I failed to look there for it. After that trip, I stopped off at Jumbo for a birthday dinner to myself, since my family wouldn't have one since Lucas didn't come home that weekend. Oh yeah,I also bought a guitar off of my friend and I've been doing some short retarded jams on that. Works pretty good. Next stop: amp, distortion town.

Josh isn't here right now, and it's half-killing me, half-giving me room to open this space up to everything I can do with it....which is chiefly more art, but only as soon as I get off my SMB3 game and donate all the time to that. Josh came down for a brief visit to get his ROTC gear and return it. His job search is slowly progressing, so he should soon have something cemented for these six months before his triumphant return to University.

I went to Lancaster last week, and I picked up some CD's, but don't anticipate a return soon. It's a vinyl town, so I really can't go back until I have a turntable or something so that I can spin those goods.

Classes are progressing moderately well this semester. I can finally enjoy shorter classes, but I have to get there on time as usual, as well as do the work the night before. I have a lot of writing/editing stuff mainly. And Spanish, which I did not retain well from high school six years ago. The business class I have at night isn't too bad, either. I should really get a job now that I have a ricockulous amount of time. More than I did before this, anyway.

I should do something down here so that I can store my extra cash down here as opposed to banking in L-town every time I run out.

I found a mouse in my room on Friday. That fucker was fast, and got away from me though. I was going to keep it as a pet, but I have no idea where it is now.

I spent some time after that up at Dave's for Matt's big 19 party. He got mega-wasted and then we went to town with playing Asshole and then rolling the drinking dice. Dudes came and slept on the couch and made things a little weird, but we got through the night with good times. Mark's a creepy dude who should stick with his wife and kids, Kyle's an awesome dude, we will have to throw Matt another party so that we can try to balltap him in his sleep again since we're all assholes, no matter who loses the card game of the same name.

That's it for now. I can only wish for warmer weather so that I can stop freezing my ass off while walking to class or anywhere else. I should do some reading as well. Adios.
