II. Surrender
Opening his eyes, he was surprised by a beaming Yoochun with pink and blue dolphin mugs in both hands.

“Rise and shine, Su! Homemade coffee made by your loving husband!” Yoochun waved the pink mug under Junsu’s nose for a few seconds before bounding energetically out of the room. “I’ll be waiting at the breakfast table!”

Junsu sat up slowly, smiling to himself idiotically, the rich scent still lingering overhead. This was the perfect life he wanted, waking up to see an energetic Yoochun every morning and falling asleep beside the snoring man every night. All that he asked for was for them to be together. Making his way over to the windows, he pulled the drawn curtains apart, hoping to catch a glimpse of the sunrise, but to his disappointment, it was raining miserably outside, painting the world a dreary grey colour.

Sighing, Junsu stepped inside the bathroom to wash up, unaware that a pair of dark orbs were following his every move with stealth and precision.

He ran the warm water over his face, watching his own reflection as the liquid flowed steadily down his cheeks and into the sink, taking away the tendrils of sleep. After drying himself off, Junsu turned back only to discover that the medium sized oval mirror was fogged-up by the condensation of moisture on its cool surface. He wiped it clean with the palm of his hand, but the glass blurred over again. Frowning slightly, Junsu picked up the towel lying on the side of the sink and polished it with extra force. The mirror squeaked in protest, but the fog brewed up and covered the mirror once again. This time, dark wisps of smoke extended outwards and around him, enshrouding him completely within its depths, clogging his sight.

Junsu took a step backwards and fell back against a flat, muscular chest. “Chun?” Junsu called, wrapping his arms around the waist of the other person. “Chunnie, get me out, I think there’s something wrong with this mirror -”

The minute the other responded by hugging him close, Junsu knew by the unfamiliar low temperature of his arms that it wasn’t Yoochun. Struggling to free himself, he only felt the iron grip that the other had on him growing stronger, threatening to suffocate him. Cool lips brushed slowly against his warm cheek, sending shivers up his spine and his hair stood on end at the intimate contact.

“Please let me go!” Junsu pleaded, nearly choking, unable to see whoever held him captive.

“Junsu … I will be back to see you again … You will be mine.” The voice seemed like music to his ears. Blinking rapidly, Junsu felt the pressure surrounding his body release itself bit by bit before disappearing completely. Sinking down onto the damp floor, Junsu was dazed and confused.

By the time he regained his senses, the fog had cleared and the bathroom looked nothing different from the time he had stepped into it.

“Su? Su …”

“Huh - What? Yes?” Junsu answered, flustered and red-faced. Seeing his lover’s blushing pink face, Yoochun chuckled and ruffled his hair messily. “You were so distracted thinking about me that I had to make you realise I was right in front of you. I’m all yours to look at, Su, so look at me.”

Junsu stared at Yoochun’s left hand, the one that had messed up his hair a few seconds ago. Somehow he remembered the touch of a hand on his head, but it didn’t belong to Yoochun. Dread pooled in the pit of his stomach. Junsu prayed that he had not been cheating on Yoochun unconsciously when he sleepwalked, though he had never sleepwalked in his life.

“Okay … I take it that you weren’t thinking about me, then?” Yoochun pouted his lips, observing how Junsu was distracted and unfocused.

“No, no!” Junsu reacted quickly to meet Yoochun’s eyes and grasped both of his hands in his. “O-Of course not. I … I would only think of you, always.” The tinge in his cheeks deepened significantly, pleasuring Yoochun. Junsu hid his face behind his hands shyly; unable to believe he had just uttered such mushy words.

Wordlessly, Yoochun removed both of his hands gently, enjoying the sight of a tomato-red Junsu who avoided his eyes. Bringing a hand to cup his chin, Yoochun leaned forwards and gazed into his eyes before kissing him deeply.

Junsu’s eyelids fluttered shut as he let Yoochun’s nimble fingers probe under his shirt and into the loose pair of pants he was wearing.

They lay sweaty, panting, and tired out; heated naked bodies tangled in a comfortable embrace as Junsu made a pillow out of Yoochun’s chest, which was heaving up and down. He could hear the steady and fast heartbeat of Yoochun drumming in his chest, pumping the life through his veins. Satiated, Junsu shut his eyes and Yoochun caressed the top of his head with his lips lovingly before they drifted off to sleep.

Three a.m.

As if someone had flicked a light bulb on in his head, Junsu awoke automatically as the digital clock display jumped from 2:59 to 3:00a.m. Scratching his head blearily, he made his way out of their shared room, clad in only a pair of white cotton briefs.

Junsu … Someone was calling his name again. Yes, I’m coming, Junsu wanted to reply, but he could not find his voice.

Junsu … Junsu …Come to me … my love …

Staggering over to the couch, he fell into a waiting lap in the similar way he did a night ago. Arms tightened themselves around him, but this time, Junsu shivered as the coolness came in contact with his bare skin, stimulating his brain to think more clearly than it had. Now that he was fully conscious, Junsu stared wide-eyed at the pale man who was smiling down at him with his black, devilish eyes. Instantly, his heart began to race as fear engulfed his insides.

“W-Who are you?” Junsu managed to stammer, growing uncomfortable at the cool hand that stayed dangerously near the edge of his briefs.

“Kim Jaejoong.” The other man uttered, his beautiful lips moving so quickly Junsu would not have noticed its movement if he hadn’t watched closely.

“Please let go of me, Mr Kim. I am already wed.” Gritting his teeth, Junsu told himself off. I must not betray Yoochun, he thought furiously.

“That does not matter to me, Junsu.” He felt a hand turning his head sideward to look back into the pair of hynotising eyes. “There is nothing I want in this world which I cannot get … including you.”

Gulping nervously, Junsu opened his mouth to retort, but the other man seized the chance to seal his dissent with a kiss, sliding his tongue into his warm cavern and successfully engaging him in a passionate lip lock before releasing his lips and moving southwards to nip at the skin on his neck, leaving a red mark on the places it had touched. Warning bells rang in Junsu’s head as he tried to free himself, but Jaejoong pushed him onto the couch and had him trapped between both arms.

“No, Jaejoong -” The said man crashed his icy mouth onto his once again. Junsu tried to move his legs so as to knee Jaejoong in the groin, but to no avail - he was trapped for good underneath him.

In despair, Junsu’s fingers reached up around the necklace he wore in a shape of a cross and stroked it, out of habit.

Suddenly, Jaejoong released him faster than the speed of light. “Son of a bit -” Jaejoong cursed as he gazed at Junsu’s necklace with such abhorrence that Junsu had never seen appear on any human face before.

“Jaejoong … please. Don’t come any closer.” Junsu curled himself up into a ball and held out his necklace towards the other man, who recoiled in horror.

“Junsu … don’t force me to do anything silly, really, you wouldn’t like to know what I’m capable of …” Seeing the black irises in Jaejoong’s eyes take on a fiendish glint, Junsu backed away slowly. “No … please.” He beseeched. “Let me go.”

“Yoochun … right? Your little lover?” Jaejoong uttered, reveling in the fear that was reflected in Junsu’s expressions. “Do you really believe he loves you, Junsu? I could easily tear him apart, limb by limb … before digging out his heart … to see if it belonged to you. Do you want me to do that? Hmm?” There was a mixture of craze and anger contained in Jaejoong’s calm exterior.

Junsu was dumbstruck by the man before his eyes, who looked like an angel with his pale, porcelain-like skin and handsome features etched deep into his face, which contrasted deeply with the sinister coal-coloured eyes he owned. What had he ever done to deserve this? What had he and Yoochun done to deserve this?

He had no choice now. He had to save Yoochun, at least. He did not know if Jaejoong was truly able to carry out what he had threatened, but he could not put Yoochun’s life at risk.

“Please don’t harm Yoochun … please.” Junsu begged weakly, lowering the cross he had been holding protectively to his chest. “I’ll … I’ll do anything you say.” The metal slipped from his fingers and dropped onto the floor, where it glared at Jaejoong harmlessly.

Kim Jaejoong smirked.
