I loved Nathan's possessiveness and Peter's protectiveness of Claire. It all played out perfectly... the Nathan/Peter parts and the Peter/Claire parts, and when they were all tangled up together.

I'd love to see more Paire from you.

I swore to myself I'd never write a Paire, and look what happened, while I was writing this I couldn't help but put it in there. I'm so glad you liked it, I'd never written anything other than Nathan/Peter before this, and I wasn't sure how this would come out. Your comment really means a lot to me.

Thank you! It came out a lot longer than I originally had intended, and I was afraid it was kind of drawn out and wordy and that it wouldn't have that effect, but I guess I was wrong. I'm so glad you liked it.

Thanks for that! Exactly what I wanted to show in all three characters. Nathan absolutely had to be a bastard in this one--he knows how Peter and Claire feel about each other, and he'd prefer to keep Peter all to himself. Peter wants Claire, but he also has the whole power struggle with Nathan going on too. I love writing Nathan, his mind is fun to play with, all his conflicting viewpoints of everything.

that was FANTASTIC.

Nathan was blurring the line between paternity and possession, and he couldn‘t care less. So very Nathan. He doesn't feel, he possesses. That's a perfect description in one line.

“When you’re a Petrelli, you take the fall, and all you can do is find something in it that makes it right.” How very true. That explanation is so fitting - it's beautiful.

I am not usually a Paire fan - or I just haven't any writers I really LIKE - but you wrote them brilliantly. The Peter/Nathan was gorgeous too. Bravo. You're AWESOME!

Let me tell you a little story about that Nathan line. I was writing this story, drinking a couple of beers, and I ran out. I decided to walk to the store to get some more alcohol, needing to be in the same mindset as the Petrellis in my story, and I thought of Nathan doing that to Claire, and composed that line while I was walking, and I had no paper. I kept trying to repeat it to myself to remember it for when I got home, but after talking to the clerk, it was gone, and I agonized over it the whole way home, knowing I had lost a great line for my story. Ultimately, I replayed my thought process over in my head and remembered it!!! I was so happy. Your comment means the world to me, and I hope you decide to read my other Paire and my other Nathan/Peter fics. I would absolutely love to hear what you think of them. Thank you ever so much. I'm so glad you love Nathan/Peter as much as I do. I know I've written a good story when I can reread it and enjoy it myself. Hmm, Peter's line, forgot to say something about that. As you saw, I'm supposedly a Petrelli too, and if I had to choose one, I'm probably Peter, even though I most love writing Nathan, and I'm the oldest sibling of my family. I'm constantly reassuring myself about why I do things, so I just substituted the surname "Petrelli" for my own when I wrote that line. I never really realized until your comment how much of myself I put into my fics. If you read my fic "Turn On the Light", there's a lot of me in Peter's characterization there too. Guess I disguise it well. Please let me know what you think, and my offer still stands. :)
