writing about... OneStroke
after rowing for about two months, i figured that my dragonboat team deserves an entry of its own...
yes, the team is called OneStroke (get your minds out of the gutters!)... and getting the stroke right is super stressful. there are half a million things to keep in mind and remember but once mastered, it's really fulfilling...
anyway, this is a glimpse of my team and the little nicknames i have for them...
de coach: de being a shortform for demanding, disciplined and a whole list that shall not be mentioned. he's a cool guy, pushing everyone to their limits. each session with him like walton of shelley's frankenstein, we are pushing the limits... haha!
cat z: eric never fails to make me laugh with his liners. if kids say the darnest things, this guy says the funniest things...
queen jj: evangline... the queen of jumping jacks... they share a love-hate relationship... she loves hating them and she hates loving them... but it's hilarous watching her do jumping jacks...
silicon boy: a pretty new addition to the team, patrick! i always teased him that his build is a result of cosmetic surgery... so big and no power... haha... just kidding! train hard bro! you can do it...
overall, the team is pretty much coming together which is great... people from all walks of life, rowing together... nothing can get me down during the week because there is always dragonboat to look forward to at the end of the week... will definitely miss them when i'm away for a month because of rainbow...
