First, to follow up on my last post, my bike's crank was fixed for $5, but this morning I had trouble with the rear wheel/brake. Sigh. The Mercian is rapidly turning into my project bike; thing is, I don't really have time for a project bike. Sigh, again.

I was sitting at the long table upstairs, facing the window. And I think that I did see you at the coffee counter, although I hope it didn't seem as if I was staring (although I did think that you looked familiar, and I was trying to make sure). Yeah, I could have shouted out your RL name and all, but it's still weird to be like, "Hey, what's up?" to someone seemingly at random. :) Next time, though.

It was so great to meet you! I loved Hilltop and sitting at Diablo knitting and chatting. I hope you make your way back down to SF one of these days so we can compare & contrast LYS' and coffee houses. Thanks for spending part of your weekend with me!

p.s. We went to Bainbridge yesterday and found Churchmouse. It is a beautiful store (they had a huge basket full of Socks That Rock), but no one acknowledged me. Not so much as a "hello." Is that the norm there?
