Sunday sunday I hate you Sunday

Jan 22, 2006 12:59

I am a dreader and a worrier and this ruins my Sundays. It sometimes ruins other days as well. Right now we are going to only think about today's issues though. Why am I so full of dread? It's the work week that begins at 9 am tomorrow and has too much stupid stressful crap. I didn't realize how much I was stressing until my shoulder started doing ( Read more... )

I used to have that same Sunday anxiety problem at my old job with the Evils. Maybe it's time to take a look at Monster ...

I think it's a lifelong thing. I had school dread back in the day, too, and in general I liked school. I'm kind of waiting for a certain new event at the office and depending on the outcome of that, yeah, I might look. I don't like the idea though. I'm secure if unsupported at present and I can work at the yarn shop and freelance writing outside of the office job. It's just when my shoulder starts doing this thing it means I'm getting too stressed. But what job doesn't have those periods? I dunno.

Hi,
We thought of you yesterday. We came across this really cool yarn shop in Nyack, NY. It was cozy and had a lot of unusual yarn (at least to my eyes, stuff that looked like x-mas tinsel etc..cool colors) Our friend Lora bought a bunch of yarn and I learned that you can measure yarn by stiches by the inch.

Excellent! The learning continues. Yes, measuring stitches per inch is called "gauge" and essential to getting your garments to fit properly.

re: the in-transit thing at the library. I've had a DVD that I'm supposedly #8 on the waiting list for be "In transit" for a couple weeks. I don't understand. Maybe my definition of "transit" is different than theirs. Maybe they think it got lost on the bus?

re: Knitting. I'm impressed by your list of WIPs, but it also stresses me out. So many things going on at once! Aieeyy! (And you took on Betsy's boucle sweater? Sucker.)

Yeah--oh my god this sweater. I *think* it's supposed to be the third size by stitch count, but by measurement it's the gigantic size. I have to call her tonight and find out what's up ( ... )

maybe the library employees are keeping them aside to use in the meantime! i am waiting for the 1st audiobook in the King series and have the 2nd book in paperback already... it's going to be overdue before i can start it! also, i have "Folly" on my ipod and it's moving.like.molasses. and yes, the reader is annoying.

Am I being silly to think that knitting should never be a stresser? ~ mrtl
