Writing classes

Sep 29, 2005 17:00

I signed up for another Hugo House class today, based primarily on the merits of the teacher.

This does mean six weeks of meeting with approximately 12 other women of enough means to pay nearly $200 to sit around a table making self-torture (writing) into other-torture (reading aloud). It should also mean more writing in a different vein than I do here or in the FYI/for work and even different than my freelance writing. This is why I decided to do it--that and: I like Brangien; she mentioned sestinas in the class description; there's a strong promise of great reading material collected/distributed by the teacher; why not make myself a little busier?

The class starts next week--I missed the original announcement of the class schedule--so you can look forward to reports soon.
