TWO VOTES. TWO LOUSY VOTES. This, my friends, was the only thing that kept "For the Title" from winning the "People's Choice" award at the Secret City Film Festival this weekend. That means that if my husband had remembered to vote, and/or all of the people who were going to come had made it (some got sick, others just didn't want to make the drive/pay to get in, etc), MATTHEW WOULD HAVE WON THAT AWARD. That would have made "For the Title" officially an award-winning film. :-( :-( :-( Fate stinks.
It is, however, encouraging, because "For the Title" looked HORRIBLE the other night, AND the movie that beat it out had a MUCH larger audience. Something went wrong with the transfer from digital to whatever kind of tape it is that you have to have to play on the projector they used and the picture was pretty grainy. Plus we decided that the sound design is only about 10% done (I'm officially a sound design-er now) and the color correction still needed work.
As far as the problems with the picture quality, I'm trying to decide if my husband just has horribly dumb luck with electronic equipment in general, or if he just uses it so much that he's bound to have a lot more problems with it. I'm given to think it's the latter.
I demand a recount.
