WITHOUT CHEATING.
Some of these are pretty darn easy...
- People stuck in a place where weird things happen and no one has any idea what's happening. Not even the producers. Also features a soap opera set in East Asia. (Lost - ladysaotome)
- A super-strong cheerleader, a Jewish computer nerd witch, a goofy slacker, and the school librarian fight undead (mostly) monsters of the week while their personal lives turn into a soap opera. Beloved people die with depressing regularity. (Buffy: The Vampire Slayer - boycottbananas)
- Time-Traveling George Carlin ditches his stand-up career to help two So-Cal losers cheat on their homework. They meet in the parking lot of a convenience store and, well, you can imagine where it goes from there. Napoleon is a fat bastard who eats too much ice cream and cheats children in meaningless competitions. Well, at least that part was accurate. For some reason, Neo doesn't save The Matrix. (Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure - scanky_chops)
- A schoolgirl avoids living in a tent by moving in with an incestuous family with intimacy issues. Not a porno. (Fruits Basket - boycottbananas)
- An embezzler, a simpleton and an alcoholic all live under one roof with their insane housekeeper, and they all live in fear of their boss's psychopathic rages. (Father Ted - scanky_chops)
- The man in the grey flannel suit commits identity theft, votes for Nixon, and provides an object lesson in why the women's movement was a Good Thing. (Mad Men - insipid_paragon)
- A paranoid nerd and an attractive doctor (who may or may not be sleeping with each other) spend a lot of time trudging through forests and other out-of-the-way places in search of the truth whilst an elderly government employee smokes a lot. (The X-Files - scanky_chops)
- Uptight but independent teacher falls for mopey rich man. (Jane Eyre - tehboypop)
- A reclusive, unloving hermit is forced to go on a quest to rescue the rest of her kind after a jive-talking butterfly hints that they've been taken prisoner by a lightly carbonated energy drink. Over the course of her adventures, she learns how to love, but eventually gets better. (The Last Unicorn - lil_senmurv)
- A squadron of insane soldiers try to not die in the war. Paradoxical bureaucracy gets in the way of that. (Catch-22 - princess_dexter)
I watched several movies this weekend: The Princess and the Frog (The animation was great but all the songs were pretty lame. It made me want to watch some old-school Disney), The Informant! (I thought it fell pretty flat. Go dramatic or comedic... I don't know what it was trying to do. Although, I really only watched it to spot the scenes filmed back in my home state), and Inglorious Basterds (Cristoph Waltz was FANTASTIC and by far the best thing about the film. Still, it was a good time and served as a reminder that I still need to watch Pulp Fiction)
