Thanksgiving break was, in a word, extraordinary. I couldn't have asked for anything better and it makes me miss home so much more now that I'm back in school. Luckily, I only have two weeks here which will fly by with studying and Pitt gear Christmas shopping and working. And of course, Mahjong.
The first few days were standard hanging out procedure, then there was the incredible Wednesday lasagna dinner, Thanksgiving dinner with the family, Maryland on Friday, Jack came up Saturday and we all went over to Sarah's house to hang out. Jack stayed until like 4 am and I had to wake up at 6 so he pretty much spent the night? As much as he could have, anyway. But now I have to go until the 13th or 14th until I can see him again. That's difficult!
But I will be extremely busy the next two weeks. This week is my last week of classes. I don't have a Psych final so I skip all of those classes now which gives me more time to work on other things. My last Modern Art exam is on Wednesday, and then I am finished with that class. My take-home final for my Literature class is due next Monday, and we get it tomorrow, so I have a week to work on that. Therefore, actual finals week is much more chill than this week is. I only have a Composition portfolio due on Thursday and my Anthropology exam on Thursday. I basically have Monday-Wednesday of finals week for those two subjects alone, which makes things a lot less stressful.
I was originally going to have my Mom pick me up on December 13th, which is the Saturday following finals, but that leaves me with a blank Friday when I could be going home. So I may end up braving the awful Greyhound bus system which never fails to annoy/aggravate me to have an extra day at home. That way I can leave early and I'm guaranteed a bus ride home. It's just a matter of fitting all of my clothes in my medium sized suitcase, or at least some of them. And I am most definitely getting a ride back.
Well here was a whole bunch of ranting I didn't think would happen when I decided to post. Oh wells.
