so you think you can hip hop
So, my FL has been saying this all day, but ALEX MOTHERFUCKING WONG, people. Wow. I had no idea he'd be my favorite this season. I actually thought I'd like Billy Bell more, but he's falling kind of flat for me. And I hate to say this but they should really just get rid of the rest of the girls and let the guys dance. Every time one of the girls gets up there I just kind of zone out, especially on the solos (a few of which I actually fast-forwarded). There have been awesome girls on the show in seasons past, but not this time. Meh.
In exciting news, I'm going on vacation next week. A cruise to Alaska! I've never been on a cruise before, and I've always always always wanted to go on one to Alaska. After years of campaigning, we're finally going! YAY! Our friends J&N are staying at our house to cat-sit, which they have done for the past two years and they are awesome for doing it. But this year, for the last three days of our vacay, my parents are coming to stay at the house. Their place is getting tented for termites and they have to be out of there for a few days, so they coordinated it with our vacation. Which is cool, but now I have to make sure my house is EXTRA CLEAN OMG. My brain keeps telling me that I have to do things like organize the linen closet! Clean out the pantry! Get the carpets cleaned! Hide the lube! (Well, that one I would do anyway.) Suffice it to say I have done NONE of these things so far, but I'm having plenty of anxiety about them.
Oh, and we're having our annual 4th of July party again this year. Fireworks are legal in my city (one of the few in my area), so we go all out. A sample of the goods:
